Netball Joins the Mustangs Family in 2026

2026 marks a huge milestone for the Mooroolbark Football Club as we officially welcome netball into the Mustangs family. It is an exciting new chapter for the club and one that has been a long time coming. As one of only six EFNL football clubs without a netball program, our arrival into the competition feels overdue, and we could not be more proud to finally take this step forward.

For those unfamiliar with EFNL netball, this is a massive competition spanning 15 divisions across the outer east, providing opportunities for players of all levels to compete, grow and thrive. As we build towards our inaugural season, the response so far has been outstanding, and we are thrilled to confirm that we have registered three teams for 2026. Mooroolbark Gold, Mooroolbark Green and Mooroolbark Black will proudly wear the Mustangs colours, with official confirmation of our third team expected early in the new year. The EFNL has pencilled us in for Divisions 5, 10 and 15, giving our program a strong foundation to grow from in its first season.

To support the launch of netball at Mooroolbark, we are also excited to introduce our dedicated Instagram page, @mooroolbarknetball. This will be the home of everything netball, from team announcements and game day action to behind the scenes moments, social events and all the hype that comes with building something new from the ground up. While the netball page will run alongside our football platforms, we remain one united Mustangs club, with major updates still shared across our main channels.

Whether you are pulling on the dress, cheering from the sidelines, supporting a teammate or simply excited to be part of something fresh, this is your invitation to jump on board. Netball is coming to Mooroolbark in 2026, and the future is looking brighter than ever for the Mustangs community.
