Former Senior Premiership coach Bernie Ryan announced as Mustangs Veteran Man coach for 2025

Mooroolbark Football Club is thrilled to welcome back Bernie Ryan, who will take the reins as the Veteran Men Coach for the upcoming season. A familiar face at the Mustangs, Bernie returns with a wealth of experience, a passion for the club, and a history of success that has left a lasting legacy.
Bernie’s previous tenure as the Senior Men Coach from 2007 to 2010 was a golden era for Mooroolbark. Under his leadership, the club reached the 2008 Grand Final before going one step further in 2009, securing a historic premiership victory and ending a 21-year drought. His ability to develop players, build a strong culture, and lead teams to success made him one of the club’s most respected coaches.
Bernie has made his mark across the Eastern Football Netball League and Yarra Valley, coaching at Upwey-Tecoma, Belgrave, and Ferntree Gully. Alongside his coaching career, he also played over 160 senior games for Upwey-Tecoma, bringing invaluable experience both on and off the field. His extensive football journey has strengthened his knowledge, leadership, and ability to mentor players at all levels.
