WE are thrilled to announce the homecoming of Aaron Mullett to The Heights. Aaron re-joins the club after playing eight seasons at AFL level for a total of 98 games. Aaron played his junior football for the Mooroolbark Junior Football Club, before moving to the Vermont Junior Football Club and the Eastern Ranges Football Club (TAC). Aaron was drafted with the 34th selection in the 2011 AFL Rookie Draft by North Melbourne, where he played for seven seasons. He played 85 senior games before switching across to the Carlton for the 2018 season where he played 13 games. Aaron brings a wealth of experience. With a young developing list and new coaching panel, his AFL knowledge and work ethic will be invaluable. Aaron will be a playing assistant coach for the 2019 season. He said he was excited to return to where it all began and can't wait to get going. "The opportunity to come home to where my junior footy started and have an influence on the young kids, play with close mates I’ve got there and also work with the new coaching staff really appealed to me," Mullett said. We would like to welcome Aaron, his wife Elle and the Mullett family to the Mooroolbark Football Club and wish them all the best for Season 2019. Go Mustangs.
